1- I was once a rebellious teenager. You may not have suspected it but here are a few embarrassing things I did as a teenager...
...I climbed a cell tower after climbing over the fence that said NO TRESPASSING, wrote my first and last name on the tower (smart, I know). I figured my name was a pretty common name (Natalie Christensen) that they would never figure it was me, besides there were many other names already written on there.. what was one more? Boy was I wrong! After some time the police called my home and talked to my parents about it.
...I went digging with some friends in a park after curfew hours. My friend tore up some of the grass. Little did we know that a policeman saw the whole thing and then pulled us over. My friend was given community service hours. His punishment... he had to watch the same park after school was out so that other teenagers did not do the same thing. Luckily I did not get in trouble this time since I was not driving and the policeman let me off the hook for being out past my curfew. Besides it wasn't my idea!!!
...I once went splatting (throwing wet toilet paper at cars as they drive by). After my friends and I hit one of the cars, they called the police. We were caught and the police called my parents to come and get me.
There you have it. I admit that sometimes teenagers can do some dumb things. I finally learned from my mistakes and changed my ways.
2- I have done a lot of traveling in my life. I have been spoiled, I know. My mom owns a travel agency and thankfully she has taken me around the world. I have been to almost all the continents, excluding Australia and Antarctica.
3- My most favorite things to do in the world are...
...to go boating at Lake Powell, water ski and wakeboard. Our annual trip to Lake Powell with the Hooge's is our favorite time of the year for my family. We spend the week on our houseboat in the middle of the lake where there are only a few people that we see the whole time. The water is glass for most of the time and it's nice and quiet. We spend the day boating, playing games and eating :). Last year we had a big rain storm with a lot of wind. It was scary. There was so much rain that there were waterfalls all over in the canyon where we were and the sand was washing out from under our houseboat it was crazy. We got some great video of it if anyone is interested in seeing it.
...to go snow skiing at Snowbird and Alta. I have been skiing since I was a kid. I did most of my skiing during high school and before I got married. Daniel (who snowboards) & I still go skiing at least once a year. That is what we did for my 30th birthday this year. It was great.
4- I like to read books. I am currently reading Harry Potter, I am on book 5. After I finish them I am going to read all of Jane Austin's books. It could take a while since I only have so much free time to read.
5- I love to make movies. Every year I do an annual Lake Powell movie from the year before. Each year we sit down and watch all of the previous Lake Powell movies and have fun reminiscing. I have also done wedding slideshows and a reunion slideshow for my 10 year reunion for my High School (I am in charge of my High School reunions, lucky me!!).
6- I am a high adventure kind of person. I love to hike and go rock climbing. My dream is to climb Mount Everest someday. The closest I have gone so far... hiking Mount Timpanogos in Utah and traveling to Thailand. I still have a lot of work to do before attempting such a great goal. Now that I have been watching the show Everest and doing research on climbing, it is not as easy as I had imagined it when I was a child. Base camp would probably be good enough for me, as long as I got to travel there and see it in person. I want to go on a Safari in Africa. I wouldn't mind living in Alaska which Dan thinks is crazy... I know that it's dark and cold in the winter and there are a lot of mosquitos, but it is so beautiful. I have been to a few places there and I love the scenery. I also would like to climb Mount McKinley someday.
There you have it.
I now tag my awesome sister Heather, if she ever gets around to reading this. haha
